Not strictly about horses, however, I wanted to include this as an experience in having clothing made.

The crest below is my boyfriends family crest, which they love and take great pride over. So I decided to make them all a custom T-Shirt with their logo on as a Christmas present.

First of all, I redrew the family crest as accurately as I could. The image above is the only reference photo I have. I thought about what colours a crest would look good in, and edited it accordingly.

I then experimented with logo placement and colours.

I decided that I wanted either a t-shirt or polo shirt with a small crest embroidered on the front and a large crest embroidered on the back. I have a University of Portsmouth Equestrian Club polo shirt in this style and it works so well. However, I could not get this style as the website was too expensive and due to the time limit of Christmas, I couldn't waste time browsing different sites.

I ordered the shirts to have the logo large on the front, printed rather than embroidered. I ordered a black t-shirt with a white logo for my partner, white t-shirt with a black logo for his brother, a burgundy t-shirt with a black logo for his father and a pale blue t-shirt with a white logo for myself (as it's nice to have something you have made yourself).

Unfortunately, two of the four t-shirts arrived with a white (wonky!) rectangle around the logo. There was a tick box on the website which said 'remove background'. My images didn't have a background so I didn't tick it. I didn't realise that this would mean a background would be added... the company were amazing and replaced the faulty tops, and in time for Christmas! I have definitely learnt from this! I would certainly use the same company for printing out Pippa's Paddock merchandise or even merchandise with my own logo on it.

Good vs bad.

I think they turned out really well!! Happy customer below!
