Sarah Dean was born and raised in Colorado, and has been drawing since she could pick up a pencil. The western landscapes and lifestyle of her home state have influenced her preference for equine art, from cattle ranches to the show ring. Sarah has trained under a variety of professional artists to sharpen her skills in both oil painting and graphite pencil.
Sarah's attention to detail and passion for her subjects can be seen in every piece of art she produces, and she is truly delighted to be able to share the joy she finds in creating art every day.
She creates beautifully soft yet striking paintings. Her use of light and texture gives her such a unique style. I want to pick up a paintbrush again when I have space to work.
He graphite drawings are so soft yet realistic. The way she captures the shading, detail and even motion blur is incredible. I would like to start drawing some action shots as a change from my portrait illustrations.
