Sicily - Pippa's Paddock - Day #2

On our second full day, we were taken to Parco Aventura Madonie which was their equivalent of the GoApe activity parks. We got to do a high ropes tree climbing course which was the hardest I've ever done! We also got to do a zip wire course which took you all around the forest and then over a little lake. We then had a BBQ on the forest floor which we laughed at due to the risk of having a fire so close to all the trees which would never be allowed back in the UK...

After each ride, due to the heatwave, we sponged all the horses down with cool water as they were very hot and tired. Riding lessons and hacks back home usually last from half an hour to an hour, in Sicily we rode for over three hours some days! Tyrone liked standing under this tree as he could so that he could much on the leaves while he waited for his dinner.

For dinner, we had a selection of homemade pasta dishes. We always ate outside on their patio, with music playing and plenty of conversation and laughter.
